  1. Al Says:

    my question is as follows:

If you were at a final table and had “your” choice of a professional opponent to be heads up against …who would it be and why ? …and who is your favorite no limit holdem player on the pro circuit?

    Thanks
    Al

  2. Karl Says:

Do certain online poker rooms have more fish than others?
In your experience, where do the most inexperienced players play?
What are the best limits to find the most fish? $1/$2?
Which poker rooms have the hardest competition?

  3. Dave Says:

What is the best way to play face cards (without an ace) ie KQ, KJ, QJ?

  4. Jimmy Says:

With all the knowledge we are learning at the RFC, do you suggest we start playing at higher limits (like $50 sit & go’s) to avoid calling stations and fish?
Is it easier to make money against more solid players who understand how to calculate odds and when they should be folding?

  5. Jeremy Says:

    Hey Gank,

Want to get your opinion on a combo draw situation. I’ve watched several of your CG videos and I know you like to play these fast, and so do I. I’d like to know your thoughts on when you think you might be facing another combo draw, but think you’re currently ahead, what do you do?

Here is what happened to me…Can you comment through the hand and let me know if I was +EV on the play or if I should have laid it down? Thanks!

    Board is 4s 7s 8c
    Hero 5d 7d
    Villain Qs 9s

So on the flop, Hero has middle pair and a gutshot straight draw. He’s ahead now, and can improve.

Villain has 15 outs. Any Q or 9 (6 outs) and any spade (9 outs).

Following the rule of 4, the villain has 60% chance to win the hand.

Here’s the betting… Can you analyze and let me know if this should be let go on the flop by the hero, or if making the stand is the right play in the long run and why?

Flop = Pot of $8 before the betting begins
    Villain bets 5.50
Hero raises to $21 (try to take the pot down/protect hand etc…)
Villain re-raises to all in, $80 for Hero to call

Based on reads, it was pretty clear to Hero that this was a flush draw re-raise with overcards. Should the all in call or fold be made?

  6. e-student Says:

If you wanted to build a bank roll, starting with $1,000 what would your plan be?

Play SNG ? at what level ?whats tooo small whats too large

    Cash games ?

MTT ? Exactly what would you do and why ? I find more secuirty in sng then cash games, as I know my mac risk and can place in top 3 over 60% of the time.

When do you know its time to move to higher level like from 30 dollanrs sngs to 65 or 100.

I have most sucess at higher limits as oppontes play is much more predictable. thanks e-student

  7. Ben Says:

I hear so much talk on TV and from other advanced players about being able to out play their opponnent after the flop. Can you give examples or moves I can try to become a player that is confident about being able to out play weaker players after the flop. Also will this clinic be available on MP3 to download?

  8. Mark Says:

    Hi Gank,
Sometimes I have a problem concentrating on what I am supposed to at the poker table. My mind tends to wander. I’ll pay attention to what my opponents are doing for a while, then my mind loses focus. Can you recommend anything that will help me to focus better at the poker table?

  9. Barkingstork Says:

    1
What hands should we open range with, being on the button in 6 hands NL cash games?
    2.
How we should play suited connecters opening game in 6 handed NL. I actually like to open raise with it. 4x BB Gank showed that video online where he opens that hand on the co position. In EP/MP we could limp in. If getting raised 4 x than I will call it. Huger raisers I would lay it down most of the time.

We should avoid predictable betting for opponents to get a read.

    3.
Would like to see an video playing 10 hands NL example. I think you need to raise bigger than 4x at NL full ring than comparing 6 handed NL. Plus I guess there is more limping than preflop raising.

Thanks for giving these issues attention.

  10. Russ Says:

I believe the attitutde or mood one is in prior to or while playing poker is very important. I have found that a poor attitude or mood really negatively effects my game. What is your take on the importance of attitude and the mood you may be in at the time of play? Thanks

  11. starch Says:

hey gank . i seem to have trouble with my focus at a table or game. what do you do before a game sng or mtt do you say to urself that this is the stratergy im going to play these staring hands not get caught up in big pots? and how do you stay focused on a game. early mtt action is boring i find. where observing your opponents is key,

  12. andrewg Says:

Hi Gank, i find that after building up a hard earned bank roll on mtt,s and i then go with this to cash table’s and lose it all very quickly and get frustrated, anyway apart from staying away from cash game’s , can you give me and anyone else whom get’s into this position how to improve at these game’s.
    Thank’s Andrew

  13. jajatras Says:

    Hi Gank,

I have watched a lot of your video’s and it has helped me play a tighter more solid game.
    The video on :
“Gank on MTT Middle Game – Making It to the Bubble “
was great to watch as I get myself in the position of playing tight and not being able to chip up, because of my starting hand requirements, the video above shows how to do this but from a middle stack position, but what about a small stack position?

So I need to open up earlier, but when do you open up so not to get into the small stack position?

    Kind regards,

    jajatras

  14. Deejr Says:

    Hi ya Gank!

My biggest problem lately, esp. in cash games is how / when do you know, get off of a hand and just check/fold?

Thanks, and take care of you! Deejr

  15. DantesHeaven (Judson) Says:

    Hi Gank;

I’m very interested in how you look to play hands like KQ KJ from early middle and late position based on your stack relative to the blinds, assuming you have an understanding of how the others at the table have been playing.

    Thanks;
    Judson

  16. busboy07 Says:

    Greetings, Gank….

My biggest problem is not having enough sense to fold my hand when I meet a lot of resistance…..seems like once I enter a hand, I turn into a raging Kamikaze…so I guess what I want to know is when do you decide it is time to get off the train…
    Thanks!

  17. Amy Says:

Hi Gank – can you give us some suggestions on dealing with table bullies. Particularly at a final table where bully is the big stack and you are just shy of making the money. Thanks.

  18. Amy Says:

  22. Chris Says:

    Hi Gank
I like your videos and comment you make it easy to understand.
I would like to see some low stakes s&g I think most of us play low stakes.
So I thinks some videos my you and how you play would really help us.
The stakes you would play and the player are different.
Thanks again for being with us here RFC
    Chris

  23. Karl Says:

I heard Rick mention that he recommends Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book.

What other poker books do you recommend?

  24. Al Says:

    Hi Gank
first off, thanks so much for the last clinic, it was great!

my question this time is this, seeing that your great friends with the unabomber , is there any possibility of seeing you both go heads up in an upcoming video?

and is there a chance of bringing Phil into a future clinic as a special guest?

thanks and I really enjoy watching you play at pokerstars..keep up the great work!

    Al

  25. busboy07 Says:

Hi, Gank…..let me add my thanks for the last clinic…I am sure we all learned a lot!
My last five SnG’s ended 3, 4, 2, 3, 3….somewhat short of my goals. Taking what I have learned from your vids, I am usually getting to the bubble and most of the time in the final three. But when I get down to 4 or 5 M’s, I try to wait for something at least playable before I have to push any two….I am pushing any ace, any king, any pair…
and I keep getting called, then more often than not, drawn out on. I push 99 or TT, and villain rivers a str8 or miracle flush, etc.
Is this just normal variance, or am I too loose with a short stack?
    Thanks for your comments.

  26. Andy37 Says:

    Hi Gank,
Thank you for the micon secrets as well as your posts on this website. My questions are
have you any plans to do a live poker bootcamp and to bring one to dublin.
    Regards,
    Andrew.

  27. Orphan Says:

    Hello Brett,

Is there any chance you could do a video on short handed (6 player max) pot limit omaha high, there are more of these games than the full ring ones and would love to see your stratergy on this game type, if not a video could you discuss stragtergies for short handed play.

    Thanks for your time

    Orph

  28. Orphan Says:

    One more question.

I have been trying my luck at the steps on pstars for the WSOP, my question is thus. We are tought very good stratergies for playing sng’s, and there are many players including yourself who are masters at sng’s, why then dont you just keep playing the steps over and over and then sell the ticket to someone else, i hope you understand what i mean. If i were as good as you at sng’s i would just keep playing 1 table satelites and make money selling tournement dollars. Is this a valid way to make some serious cash ???? as there in theory just sng’s with a diffrent prize

    cheers

    orph

  29. Taphophile Says:

Hello Gank. When you play on-line, do you use a HUD or an odd’s calculator?

  30. Al Says:

  31. Taphophile Says:
